Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Boumford’s music is a mix of original and cover tunes with a distinctly mellow jazz/soul feel. Performing under the stage name of Chemi, she is fast becoming a regular performer throughout the region, having made appearances at Satchmo’s at the Marina and South Leagues Club in Mackay and at Muso Magic, the Youth Festival and Grand Central Hotel in Sarina. A highlight of her career was being the support artist for Deborah Conway at this year’s Australia Day celebration at the Mackay Entertainment Centre. She is currently in the process of recording her first album which will feature her original single ‘Free’. |
